As I read this poem, Pale Blue Dot, I came to this phrase and realized that everyone I've ever known in my life was from such a small place in this vast universe. I've never really thought about it, but as i read it, i came to a realization that earth was so small and that we don't know or can't call anything else home but this pale blue dot. Think about it, if the earth, the only place we've ever known is just a dot in the sky, then what are we? Barely anything? For all we know, there could be life some where out there but for now, that's all the mankind's ever known yet to have existed life. A pale blue dot.

I find that drawing with charcoal is really fun and easy to work with, but it also smudges really easily which really annoys me. So If i had a conversation with Emily Carr I would ask her for tips on how to keep charcoal from smudging or how to shade with it. I love her art style and it would be nice to have a conversation with her.
